Khowai, Tripura, 7th of January, 2026 : The officials of Agriculture Department inspected the farmers’ crop cultivation & production and exchanged views with them at Batapura village, Purba Ramchandraghat under Khowai District on Tuesday (6th January, 2026).

The officers were very pleased after seeing the crops produced by the farmers. Farmer Sumangal Das is engaged in oil palm plantation and the cultivation of vegetables, mustard, potatoes, pumpkin, carrots, and chilies. Farmer Ajit Das cultivates watermelon and brinjal. The officers inspected the crops grown by these farmers.

Agriculture Department officials have been providing training to farmers in various ways to encourage vegetable cultivation, resulting in a significant increase in production compared to last year. The farmers expressed their gratitude to the state government and the Agriculture Department for extending support in the form of fertilizers, seeds, and various types of assistance for cultivation.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Khowai Agriculture Department official Pradyut Dey, Bijoy Debnath, Vice Chairman of Khowai Panchayat Samiti Uttam Adhikari and many others remained present.
