Sabroom, Tripura, 26th of August 2025 : A seventh-grade student Debjit Tripura, S/O- Rohan Tripura was allegedly beaten severely by his teacher Sanghamitra Das Baishnav at No-1 Harina Higher Secondary School at Thaibung area in Sabroom on Tuesday (26th August, 2025). The student was allegedly beaten up for no reason. Later, Debjit was taken to Sabroom Hospital by his parents in an injured condition.
Allegation, this teacher misbehaves not only with students but also with fellow teachers. A few days ago, she tried to hit the school’s teacher-in-charge, Tridip Shil, with a stick in the office. At that time, members of the school management committee were also present at the spot. The teacher-in-charge has informed the higher authorities in writing about this matter. Currently, everyone from students, teachers, parents and the school managing committee is upset because of that teacher. They claim that if the teacher is not transferred elsewhere immediately, the educational environment will collapse. The parents said they will file a written complaint with Sabroom Police Station.
