Teliamura, Tripura, 2nd of September, 2025 : With the initiative of Animal Resources Development Department Government of Tripura organized inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Pig Breeding Farm at Howaibari, Teliamura, under Khowai District on Tuesday (2nd September, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries, Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das inaugurated the events.
Addressing at the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed Pig Breeding Farm Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das said that the current State Government is working with importance for the economic development of the people. He said, through the Animal Resources Development Department, not only animal husbandry but also the path of livelihood and economic development of the people is being strengthened. The main goal of the Government is to ensure the development of the common people through the implementation of various projects.
Addressing at the occasion MLA and Chief Whip of Tripura Legislative Assembly Kalyani Roy said that the people of Teliamura and Howaibari areas will directly benefit from this office building and pig breeding farm. Employment opportunities will increase through this project. She also said that the Animal Resources Development Department is working for their overall welfare by including animal husbandry in various schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. This is increasing the income of the people.
Minister Sudhanshu Das handed over chicks to five beneficiaries at this event. Local residents said that the department’s office building and pig breeding farm will further increase employment opportunities.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Vice Chairman of Panchayat Samiti Nirmal Sutradhar, MLA and Chief Whip of Tripura Legislative Assembly Kalyani Roy and many others remained present in this event.
