Assam, 15th of February 2024 : In the War against Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, Assam Rifles recovered 20000 WY tablets worth Rs 3 cr from Ramnagar area of Silchar town of Cachar District, Assam on 14 February 2024.
Based on credible information, a joint operation was launched by Assam Rifles and Assam Police from Cachar district. The joint team also apprehended the drug peddler.
Assam Rifles is maintaining strict vigilance and continuously monitoring and undertaking operations to prevent smuggling of war like stores and narcotics substances.
Seized contents and arrested individual were handed over to Cachar police for further investigation & legal proceedings.
