Under the able guidance of Sh. Subrat Kumar Mishra, IGP Tripura Sector, an Inter GC/BN(OPS) basketball competition among 71 Bn, 124 Bn, 140 Bn, 225 Bn CRPF and GC CRPF Agartala, was organized by 71 Bn CRPF at Battalion Hqr Khumulwng from 9th August 2023 and the closing ceremony of the competition was celebrated on 11th August, 2023 in a befitting manner in Khumulwng battalion Hqr. During the ceremony, Sh. Ram Palat, Commandant-71 Bn CRPF addressed all the participating teams and praised all the players for maintaining a healthy and competitive spirit in sports during the event.
The 71 Bn CRPF team has played with spirited mode and displayed appreciable performance which motivated the other teams. 71 Bn CRPF took the winner trophy and 124 Bn stood runner up. Constable/GD Padamanav Taria of 71 Bn. won the player of the series, Constable/ GD PSreenivas of 124 Bn. Won the player of the match and awarded with prestigious the medals. Sh. K.K. Mukhopadhyay (Second-In-Commandant), Sh. Yogesh Kumar, (Dy.Commandant) Sh. Avijit Dutta (Asst.Comdt.), and unit personnel of all ranks and file were present and enjoyed the competition with great enthusiasm.
