BBM College Hosted A Distinguished Visit From The New Commanding Officer, Colonel NS Baath.

Agartala, Tripura, 27th of March 2026 : On March 27, 2026, Bir Bikram Memorial (BBM) College hosted a distinguished visit from the new Commanding Officer, Colonel NS Baath. The event was a significant occasion for the NCC unit, attended by Principal Dr. Mihir Paul, CSUO Ratanjoy Tripura, Lt. Tapanjyoti Malakar, and Captain Samir Kr. Diabagh, alongside the SM, Trg JCO, and a dedicated turnout of NCC Cadets. The ceremony also saw a strong representation from the college’s legacy, with Ex-Cadets and Alumni in attendance, including CSUO Shibraj Sen, UO Gourab Guha Roy, and Corporal Pritosh Debbarma, bridging the gap between the unit’s past and its future.

​The program commenced with a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by the Cadets of BBM, showcasing their discipline and military bearing. Following the formal welcome, Colonel Baath proceeded to the Principal’s office for an insightful meeting regarding the college’s NCC activities and academic environment before conducting an inspection of the BBM NCC Sub Unit. The atmosphere was charged with patriotism as the assembly performed Vande Mataram, followed by a formal Welcome Address delivered by Lt. Tapanjyoti Malakar.

​The cadets displayed their diverse talents through a series of performances, including a spirited Group Song and a vibrant Group Dance. A key highlight of the afternoon was the interactive session, where Colonel Baath engaged directly with the cadets, sharing words of motivation and discussing their roles within the NCC. The visit concluded with a Closing Address by ANO Captain Samir Kr. Diabagh, who expressed gratitude for the CO’s presence and the support of the visiting alumni. The event was brought to a respectful close with the singing of the National Anthem followed by the NCC Song.
