Agartala, Tripura, 30th of November, 2025 : On 30th Nov 2025, as part of Diamond Jubilee BSF Day Celebration, a Blood Donation Camp was organised at Ftr HQ BSF Salbagan. Shri Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, IG BSF Tripura Frontier inaugurated the blood donation camp by lighting the ceremonial Lamp in the presence of Dr S P Yadav, DIG( Medical) , Composite Hospital BSF Agartala & Dr ( Mrs) Suchandra Dey, DIG ( Medical) Frontier HQ Tripura .
Leading from the front, IG BSF himself donated the blood. Officers, Sub Ordinate Officers, Jawans posted in BSF camp Salbagan enthusiastically participated in the event donating 100 Units of blood . Earlier as part of Diamond Jubilee BSF Day Celebration, on 27th & 28th November 2025, blood donation camps were organised at BSF camp Bagma, SHQ BSF Udaipur & BSF camp Nalakata under SHQ Panisagar respectively .
Addressing media personnel on this occasion, IG BSF said that since its raising in 1965 to 2025 , BSF has maintained human face giving prime importance to the development of human population besides primary duty of border security and maintaining sovereignty of the nation. Keeping in consideration, the scarce availability of blood during major casualties , BSF Seema Praharis pledged to donate blood during Diamond Jubilee BSF day celebration for the residents of Tripura .
Committed to contribute for humanity, BSF is not only the ‘First line of defence’ but also the first responder in crisis.
