Amidst global fight against COVID-19 pandemic, BSF troops deployed on the Indo-Bangladesh International Border in the State of Tripura are also continuously doing persistent endeavors to eradicate the menace of trans-border smuggling particularly the narcotics drugs by conducting Special Operations.
In such operations carried out in the intervening night of 25/26 April 2021, BSF troops of Tripura Frontier successfully seized 805 Nos Yaba Tablets, 147 Bottles of Phensedyl Syrup, 03 Kgs Ganja & 09 Bottles of Liquor besides 02 Cattle and other contraband items having combined value of Rs.6,11,054/-.
25th April 2021, based on a specific intelligence input, BSF troops of Border Outpost Bachaibari, 191 Bn BSF recovered 805 Nos Yaba Tablets, which were clandestinely hidden under bamboo bushes in bordering area under Sub Division- Khowai, District-Khowai, Tripura. The seized narcoticsare being handed over to Police Station- Champahour for further course of action.
Vigilant BSF troops deployed on the other parts of the Tripura Frontier are regularly carrying out operations against the trans-border smugglers and seizing various contraband items.
