Agartala, Tripura, 12th of March, 2026 : The CATC cum Adventure Camp 177 – Tripura 2026 is being conducted under the aegis of the National Cadet Corps at Dumboor and Chabimura from 10 to 19 March 2026. The camp is organised by the 13 Tripura Battalion NCC with the aim of developing leadership, discipline and adventure spirit among cadets.
On Day 3, a total of 130 cadets comprising 65 Senior Division (SD) and 65 Senior Wing (SW) from various NCC units including 13 Tripura BN NCC, 71 Tripura (I) Girls Coy NCC, 15 Tripura (I) Coy NCC, 3 Assam BN NCC, 4 Assam BN NCC and 62 Assam BN NCC (Girls) actively participated in a series of physically challenging and skill-based activities.
The day began with physical training to enhance endurance and fitness, followed by adventure activities such as rock climbing, where cadets learned basic climbing techniques, safety measures and teamwork. Cadets also undertook an adventurous trek along the dry river bed, experiencing the natural terrain of the Dumboor–Chabimura region while developing resilience, coordination and confidence. Multiple rock climbing sessions were conducted to allow cadets to practice and improve their climbing skills under the supervision of trained instructors.
The activities concluded with roll call and the rendition of the NCC song, reinforcing unity and discipline among the cadets. The camp is being conducted under the leadership of C. Rajasekhar, Camp Commandant and Commanding Officer of 13 Tripura BN NCC, with the support of JCOs, NCOs, ANOs, GCIs and civil staff. The camp continues to provide cadets with valuable exposure to adventure training while fostering leadership, teamwork and a spirit of camaraderie
