Agartala, Tripura, 24th of January, 2026 : With the initiative of Modern Club organized inauguration ceremony of 3 Storied Club House, Gym, Dilip Smirti Library (Dilip Memorial Library) and Blood Donation Camp at club premises of Modern Club, Nagarjala, Agartala, Tripura on Saturday (24th January, 2026). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the event.
Addressing at the inauguration ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Clubs and social organizations need to come forward more actively in the service of humanity. At the same time, they must play an important role in the development and promotion of culture and heritage. Clubs and social organizations have a vital role to play in building a better society.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that clubs and social organizations have made a significant contribution to voluntary blood donation in the state. He added that if clubs also come forward in organ donation along with blood donation, society will benefit greatly.
The Chief Minister said that the culture of clubs in the state has undergone a positive change. Greater efforts must be made to involve the youth more actively in clubs and social organizations. clubs and social organizations are a major platform for social service and are capable of playing a significant role in building a healthy society and a drug-free Tripura. The more the youth come forward in this effort, the more our society and the nation will benefit.
It will also be possible to build a Developed India by 2047, in line with the vision announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At the programme, the Chief Minister, under the initiative of the Modern Club, presented awards to the representatives of Agartala Municipal Corporation Wards No. 33, 39, and 46 for being recognized as clean wards.
On the occasion, Chief Minister visited the club’s newly constructed building and library, and interacted with the blood donors.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Sajal Chakraborty, President of the Modern Club delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session.
