Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Virtual Lays Foundation Stone & Inaugurates Development Projects Of Tourism Infrastructure At Kamalasagar.

Agartala, Tripura, 26th of July 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura inauguration and laying the foundation stone ceremony for multiple development projects of Tourism Infrastructure organized in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) at Kasba Kali Temple, Kamalasagar, under Bishalgarh Subdivision, Tripura on Friday (25th July, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha laid the foundation stone and virtual inaugurated multiple development projects today. 

Addressing at the laying foundation Stone and inauguration ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that the state is now witnessing a wave of development through infrastructure development, renovation, etc. in various areas including the streets. In the first 7 months of this year alone, various projects worth Rs 772 crore have been inaugurated, laid foundation stones and laid foundation stones in various places in the state.

The Chief Minister virtually laid the foundation stone for the development of tourism infrastructure in the Fourteen Deities Temple area. The Chief Minister said on the occasion that Tripura is moving forward under the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister said that if the religious tourism center being built in the style of 51 Shakti Peeth is opened to the public, Tripura will gain a different level of recognition. Pilgrims will come here from far away.

“At the same time, the economic growth rate of Tripura will increase. He said that tourism has an important role in improving the socio-economic standards of the State and strengthening its economic base. Therefore, the current Government of the state has given special importance to the development of the tourism sector. The State Government is working on special plans to develop the tourism sectors of the state, including including Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary , Khumulwng Eco Park, the ancient Chabimura,, the ancient Buddhist stupa of Boxkar, the Karting Hills of Chabimura, the Pilak tourism sector rich in Buddhist and Hindu sculptures, and the Bhubaneswari Temple.” Chief Minister added.

As the special guest at the event, Hon’ble food, civil supplies & consumer affairs, transport and tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that  the religious tourism center being built at Banduar  in Udaipur with a replicas of 51 Shaktipeeths at a cost of Tk 51 crore under the Prasad scheme is now awaiting inauguration. Besides, the Kasbeswari Kamalasagar Kali Temple , which is commemorated with the royal periods, is also being decorated under this project.

Apart from religious tourism, plans have been made to develop the State in the field of ecotourism and adventure tourism. If these plans are implemented, Tripura will emerge in a new form on the tourism map in the next one and a half to two years. This will not only increase employment opportunities for the youth but also increase the purchasing power of the people.

Secretary of the transport department Uttam Kumar Chakma delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of One Day. Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Sabhadipati of Sepahijala district Supriya Das Datta, District Magistrate (DM) and Collector of Sepahijala district, Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal Managing Director of Tourism Development Corporation Prashant Badal Negi, and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
