Chief Minister Of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha Chaired Review Meeting Of TSCB & MARKFED.

Agartala, Tripura, 17th of December 2025 : Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha Chaired a review meeting of the Tripura State Cooperative Bank Ltd. and the Tripura State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd. at the Secretariat, Agartala, Tripura on Tuesday (16th December, 2025).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized making women living in rural areas self-reliant in order to build a Vikshit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Towards this aim, self-help groups are being formed with women. The State Co-operative Bank has to be pro-active to provide them loan. Formalities should be further simplified for those SHGs which are repaying their loan on time. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha stated this yesterday while addressing the meeting of Tripura State Co-operative Bank at the secretariat conference hall yesterday.

While chairing the TSCB meeting the Chief Minister said that the banks should be thinking out of the box and build a coordinating relation with the LAMPS and PACS. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given special emphasis on skill development, banks and LAMPS/PACS should also follow suit. He also enquired about the management system and trade related targets of the TSCB.

At the meeting the Minister of Cooperation, Shuklacharan Noatia briefed the Chief Minister about the works of LAMPS and PACS. The chairman of the bank N. Datta also discussed related issues, while the MD of the bank presented different future aspects of the bank. Among others, chief secretary JK Sinha and secretary of the cooperation department Tapas Roy also participated in the discussion. Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. P.K. Chakraborty and officials of the cooperation department were also present in the meeting.

In addition to that, yesterday under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister a review meeting of the Tripura State Co-operative Market Federation Limited or MARKFED was held there. The Chief Minister enquired about different activities of MARKFED and advised them to open new branches to expedite their work. He said, the state government is extending necessary support to the PSUs to create more employment opportunities in the state. In this context he stressed on developing a collaborative strategy between the PSUs and concerned departments.

The Minister of Cooperation Shuklacharan Noatia also spoke on present and future aspects of MARKFED. The chairman of MARKFED Abhijt Deb discussed future plans of MARKFED, so did discuss the chief secretary J.K. Sinha and Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, secretary to the CM, Cooperation department’s secretary Tapas Roy and MD of MARKFED Jogesh Reang.
