Dharmanagar, Tripura, 4th of March, 2026 : Continuing its long-standing tradition, Kala Mondal celebrated Basanta Utsav this year with great enthusiasm, marking its 36th year of celebration. Welcoming the spring season, Kala Mondal brought together vibrant colors, dance, and music, creating a festive atmosphere across the city of Dharmanagar.Nearly a hundred dancers and singers participated in the festival, accompanied by parents and guardians. The artists performed at various street corners throughout the town, spreading cultural vibrancy and joy. Local residents from different neighborhoods also extended their wholehearted support during the celebrations.

The festivities began with a cultural rally. The first performances were held at the premises of Ramakrishna Mission, followed by performances in front of Dharmanagar Police Station, along Kurti Road, at the foot of the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, and finally in front of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office.At the concluding segment held outside the SDM office, prominent social worker Kajal Das was present. In his address, he praised Kala Mondal’s continued social and cultural initiatives and encouraged the organization to maintain this inspiring tradition in the years ahead.The celebration concluded at Kala Mondal’s premises with the final performance at “Arnab Mancha.” Through a beautiful fusion of colors and melodies, Dharmanagar transformed into a grand cultural confluence, celebrating the spirit of spring in its true essence.
