CRPF 124 Bn Conducted Medical Camp. 

Baikhora, Tripura, 9th of January 2026 : A Free Medical Camp was successfully organized by 124 Battalion CRPF at SSB Para, Baikhora, South Tripura. The event, under the command of Sh Ravish Kumar, Commandant 124 CRPF, was undertaken on the lines of Civic Action Program (CAP) which is an initiative to fulfill social responsibility of the Force. The event was graced by Sh Henzang, DIG, Range Agartala, Sh Mourya Krishna C, IPS, SP, South Tripura, Sh Bapi Debbarma, SDPO, Shantibazar, Smt. Unchinda Mog, Sarpanch Latuatila and Ashish Paul, Club President, SSB Camp Baikhora and officers of the Unit.

The program saw a huge turn out of civilians from villages in the area who were given free medical consultation by Dr K. Venkata Avinash, CMO, 124 CRPF and Dr Rubi Halder, PHC, Baikhora. Besides free OPD, medicines were also distributed to the civilians who came to attend the health camp. During his interaction with civilians, Sh Ravish Kumar, CO stated that although the major commitment of the battalion is operational, it is also a priority to assist civilians in the area through social welfare programs such as this from own resources. It is also pertinent to mention here that vehicle was provided by 124 CRPF to civilians of the area for conveyance as it was felt that open public conveyances are not comfortable for everyone especially the seniors and aged. Refreshment for the camp attendees was arranged in the form of drinking water, tea, snacks and chocolates for children present in the location.

The program proved a commendable success as not less than 150 beneficiaries were given free medical examination as well as medicines. It also provided an open opportunity for Force personnel to interact freely, under an atmosphere other than operational, with civilians in the area of operation.
