Agartala, Tripura, 12th of April 2026 : The 13 Tripura Battalion NCC successfully conducted Day 5 of the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-33) on 12 April 2026, under the guidance of the Camp Commandant, .

The day commenced with a refreshing session of Yoga, promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and concentration among the cadets. This was followed by breakfast and drill practice, enhancing discipline, coordination, and unity.
Cadets then underwent a Medical Review (MR) to ensure their health and fitness during the camp. After a tea break, cadets actively participated in Weapon Training (WT), gaining practical knowledge and confidence in handling arms.
A significant highlight of the day was a lecture on Military Survival delivered by the Camp Commandant, Col Navpreet Singh Baath. The session provided valuable insights into survival techniques, fieldcraft, and preparedness in challenging conditions, greatly enriching the cadets’ practical understanding and boosting their confidence.
Cadets also participated in Tent Pitching Practice, where they learned essential fieldcraft skills, including setting up temporary shelters—an important aspect of camp life and survival training.
Following lunch and rest (OTW), the afternoon session featured an insightful lecture on NER Dashboard/Energy Development delivered by Guest Lecturer Dibya Jyoti, enhancing awareness about regional development initiatives.
A tea break was provided before the final activities of the day. Cadets then participated in a Debate Competition, encouraging confidence, communication skills, and critical thinking.
Additionally, cadets were taken for a visit to Akhaura Border, gaining valuable exposure to border security and operations.
The day concluded with personal hygiene routines, roll call, and dinner, maintaining discipline and structured camp life.
Overall, Day 5 of CATC-33 was conducted successfully with a balanced mix of physical activity, survival training, fieldcraft, awareness sessions, and competitive events, contributing to the holistic development of cadets.
