New Delhi, Delhi / Gurugram, 2nd of April, 2026 : In a remarkable celebration of excellence, service, and national contribution, the Bharat Gaurav Ratna Shri Samman Council (BGRSSC) organised a grand Seminar-cum-Award Ceremony at The Ashok Hotel, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, bringing together members of the diplomatic fraternity, policymakers, eminent personalities, and distinguished guests to honour achievers from across India.

The event stood out not only for the scale of participation, but also for the presence of members of the global diplomatic community, underlining the growing international recognition of Indian talent, leadership, and grassroots contribution.
Among the distinguished diplomatic dignitaries present were H.E. Ms. Pradeepa Mahishini Colonee, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka; H.E. Dr. Mazin Al Masoudi, Ambassador of the League of Arab States Mission; and H.E. Mr. Branimir Farkas, Political Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia.
Also gracing the occasion were Dr. Ayat Saad Ahmed Ismail, Head of Bureau of Cultural and Educational Relations at the Embassy of Egypt; H.E. Ms. Bizunesh Meseret Tegegne, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Ethiopia; H.E. Dr. Desire Boniface Some, Ambassador of Burkina Faso; and Mr. K.L. Ganju, Honorary Consul General of the Union of Comoros.

Their presence added international significance to the ceremony and reflected a shared appreciation for individuals whose work is creating meaningful impact in society and contributing to India’s development story.
The ceremony honoured achievers from a wide spectrum of sectors including healthcare, public service, entrepreneurship, agriculture, medicine, creative industries, social leadership, and community development. Many of the awardees represented the spirit of silent service—individuals whose work often remains away from the spotlight, yet leaves a deep and lasting impact on society.
The event was further dignified by the presence of Shri Sunil Bharala, Hon’ble Minister of State and Chairman, Labour Welfare Council, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Other eminent attendees included Captain Dharmveer Singh, former Indian Army officer; Prof. (Dr.) Banwari Lal, former Director, Ministry of Culture, Government of India; Shri Bharat Pal, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Delhi; and Shri Prashant Kumar, Assistant Director (IRS), CBIC.
Among the awardees honoured on the occasion were Dr. Nekkanti Shreedevi for humanitarian and social leadership, Amb. Dr. Mohan Raj V for his contribution to oral medicine and radiology, Visham Vimal Nevatia for his contribution to the creative industry, Uday Kumar Gutta for public leadership, and Dr. Vidyalaya Sanjay Kumar Gupta for his role in public life and governance, among several others from across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tapan Kumar Rautary, Chairman, BGRSSC, said: “The presence of diplomats and distinguished representatives from different countries at this ceremony is a reflection of the growing global recognition of India’s talent, commitment, and leadership across sectors. Bharat Gaurav Ratna Shri Samman is not just an award platform—it is an effort to honour those individuals whose dedication, service, and excellence continue to strengthen the social and national fabric of the country.”
