Mumbai, Maharashtra, 17th of March 2026 : The 11th International Conference आयोजित at Chandrabhan Sharma College (Autonomous), Powai, Mumbai, turned out to be more than just an academic gathering—it evolved into a vibrant platform where tradition and modernity engaged in meaningful dialogue. Centered on the theme “IKS: Bridging Tradition, Innovation and Sustainability”, the conference highlighted the continued global relevance of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). Organized in collaboration with the University of Mumbai and The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, the event brought together scholars, researchers, academicians, and students from across the world. In the inaugural session, In-Charge Principal Dr. Vaishali Rajput emphasized that Indian traditions remain a timeless source of wisdom, offering valuable guidance even in today’s rapidly evolving world. Chief Guest Dr. Rajan Velukar underlined the importance of equipping the younger generation not only with modern skills but also with the enduring insights of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Vedic knowledge.

The conference featured engaging technical sessions focusing on sustainability, innovation, and cultural heritage. Experts, including Prof. Dr. Varadaraj Bapat from IIT Bombay, elaborated on the scientific and practical relevance of Indian Knowledge Systems. International speaker Alok Gupta shared a global perspective, highlighting how Indian philosophy is increasingly influencing international practices.
The strong academic interest was reflected in the response, with 104 research papers submitted and 85 selected after peer review. The valedictory session emphasized the need for heritage-based research.
The conference concluded with a powerful message: Indian Knowledge Systems are not merely a reflection of the past, but a strong foundation for building a balanced, inclusive, and sustainable future.
