Hon’ble Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb attended the 44th Kokborok Day celebration ceremony at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala on Wednesday (19th January, 2022). Hon’ble Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on the occasion of the 44th Kokborok Day celebrations announced that from now on Gandacherra has been renamed as ‘Gandatwisa’ and Atharamura has been renamed as ‘Hachuk Berem’. Earlier, the State Government had changed the name of Baramura as ‘Hataikotor’. Hon’ble Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Hon’ble Tribal Welfare Minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia and other dignitaries were present in the celebration ceremony.
