Hon’ble Tribal Welfare Minister Rampada Jamatia has inaugurated the Kharchi Festival & Exhibition at Khayerpur, Old Agartala on Thursday (7th July, 2022). Kharchi Puja is a festival where the 14 Gods that comprise the dynastic deity. The rituals are observed for a whole week in the temple dedicated to the 14 Gods. The 14 Gods are Shiva, Durga, Vishnu, Lakshmi, Vani or Saraswati, Kumar or Kartikeya, Ganapa or Ganesha, Brahma, Prithivi, Abdhi or Samudra, Ganga, Sikhi or Agni, Kamadeva and Himadri. Hon’ble Speaker Ratan Chakraborty and other dignitaries were present at the inauguration ceremony.
