Khowai, 6th Of April, 2024 : Husband beating his wife to death on Friday (5th April, 2024) night. The incident happened in Gouranga Tilla area under Kalyanpur police station in Khowai District. Source said, the woman identified as Pratima Nath Chowdhury suffered injury after her husband Pradip Nath Chowdhury allegedly launched a brutal assault on her using wooden sticks and bamboo pieces on last night. As her condition was critical, Pratima breathed his last this morning despite the efforts of doctors to revive him. The incident happened in their residence located Gouranga Tilla area under Kalyanpur police station in Khowai District. The Kalyanpur police personnel arrested him and the villagers demanded punishment of the criminals.
