Nagpur, 7th of March, 2026 : The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur has received the formal allotment of land for a commercial complex at MIHAN from the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC). The allotment documents were handed over in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during his visit to MIHAN on March 7.

The land parcel, located at Plot No. 14, Sector 21 outside the SEZ area of MIHAN, measures 3,455.81 sq. metres, with a built-up area of 2,660.61 sq. metres and a permissible FSI of 1.5. The proposed facility will be developed by IIM Nagpur to support commercial and institutional activities linked to the institute’s expanding campus ecosystem.
The allotment letter was handed over to Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director, IIM Nagpur, by Dr. Vipin Itankar, District Collector, Nagpur and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of MIHAN India Limited, in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The handover took place during the Chief Minister’s visit to MIHAN for the ground-breaking ceremony of Solar Defence & Aerospace Ltd.’s Robotics and UAV Facility.
Also present on the occasion was Padma Shri Satyanarayan Nuwal, Founder and CEO of Solar Group.
The proposed commercial complex is expected to strengthen the institutional ecosystem around IIM Nagpur and contribute to the development of MIHAN as an emerging hub for education, innovation, and industry collaboration.
