Indian Para-Cyclists Shine At Korat, Thailand – Para Cycling Cup 2025.

Hyderabad, Telangana, 8th of December, 2025 : A 10-member Indian para-cycling team trained by the Aditya Mehta Foundation (AMF) participated in the Korat, Thailand Para Cycling Cup 2025. Athletes from 12 countries Malaysia, Thailand, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, China, Tajikistan, Indonesia, Republic of Korea, Singapore, and India competed at the event, giving the Indian team invaluable exposure to high-performance international racing. The contingent also included two handcyclists, reflecting the growing depth of India’s para-cycling ecosystem.

Track Events

Individual Time Trial (1 km)

1. Vishva (16, Gujarat) – Bronze;    2. Lisha (15, Assam) – Silver

• Individual Pursuit: Vishva – Bronze;        Lisha – Bronze

• 200m Sprint: Vishva – Bronze;     Lisha – Silver;          Pavan Kumar (22, Andhra Pradesh) – Bronze

Road Events

• Individual Time Trial— Vishva – Bronze;   Lisha – Bronze; Yogesh (Maharashtra) – Bronze; Prashant (Telugu athlete from Maharashtra) – Bronze

 Total: 2 Silver & 9 Bronze (11 Medals)

Despite strong international competition, the para-athletes raced with heart, resilience, and pride — each medal carrying a story of perseverance and hope. The event also fostered friendships and meaningful learning exchanges with para-cyclists from other nations.

Arshad’s Story

Our Paralympian para-cyclist, Arshad Shaik, secured 4th place despite recently undergoing surgery for a fractured arm — a true display of grit and determination.

Support & Acknowledgment

The team’s participation was made possible through the support of Invesco, GMMCO, Alcon, and Flutter Entertainment (for adult para-cyclists). Their contributions toward adaptive equipment, training, rehabilitation, travel, and selection camps significantly strengthened this effort.
