Intensified Mass Outreach For Left Front Candidate Amitabha Datta In Dharmanagar By-Election.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 28th of March 2026 : Ahead of the upcoming Dharmanagar Assembly by-election, an enthusiastic door-to-door campaign was carried out on Saturday in support of Left Front-nominated candidate Amitabha Datta. The campaign witnessed widespread participation and energy, with six separate teams strategically deployed across different booth areas to conduct organized outreach programs.

One of the teams, led by Krishna Rakshit, a Central Committee member of CPI(M) and Central Assistant Secretary of the All India Democratic Women’s Association, conducted campaigns across three lanes. According to party sources, their efforts received a significant response, particularly from local women.Other prominent leaders, including CPI(M) North Tripura District Secretary Abhijit Dey, State Committee member Amal Chakraborty, MLA Shailendra Chandra Nath, former minister Bijita Nath, and candidate Amitabha Datta, led separate teams, reaching out to voters and seeking their support. A dedicated youth team also actively participated in the campaign, adding further momentum to the program. Hasi Bhattacharjee, former State Committee member of the All India Democratic Women’s Association who took part in the campaign, stated, “We are receiving an overwhelming response from the people, which is strengthening our campaign further.”

A women’s team of around 15 members, along with Advocate Tapas Dhar and several local leaders, made the campaign more vibrant and impactful.Local sources suggest that this continuous outreach effort is increasing voter interest in the Left Front, which could play a significant role in influencing the by-election results, according to political observers.
