Khowai, 25th of April, 2024 : The Second phase of polling in the Tripura East Parliamentary Constituency Lok Sabha seat is going to be held on 26th April, 2024. Khowai District Administration and Defence Administration are fully prepared to complete this polling phase in a free and fair elections. District Election Officer and Khowai District Magistrate & Collector, Chandni Chandran, presented this information in a press conference organized at District Magistrate’s conference hall at 3 pm on Thursday. Khowai District Superintendent of Police Dr. Ramesh Kumar Yadav was also present at the press conference. In the conference, District Magistrate & Collector, Chandni Chandran, that the administrative activities have been continuing for quite some time around the elections.

Police flag marches, car searches, hotel checking are going on every day in different areas. Security has been beefed up at polling stations on polling day. Besides, sector officers and police officers will visit polling stations. The District Magistrate in an order imposed several restrictions under Section 144. The order will be in force from April 25 at 5 pm to April 27 at 6 am. Restrictions have been imposed to maintain peace and harmony in the elections. She urged the voters to vote at their respective polling stations without fear and hindrance. If there is any problem in any booth center, request everyone to immediately bring the matter to the attention of the administration.
