Lawyer Kalyan Narayan Bhattacharjee on Today (11th August, 2021) Takes oath as New Lokayukta of Tripura at Raj Bhavan, Agartala. Hon’ble Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya administered the oath of office to the Lawyer Kalyan Narayan Bhattacharjee as the new Lokayukta of Tripura.
In 2012, the first Lokayukta was appointed in Tripura. Former Gujarat and Guwahati High Court judge Pradip Kumar Sarkar was the first Lokayukta in the State. Kalyan Narayan Bhattacharjee is the third Lokayukta in the state and the first to hold the post as a lawyer. Hon’ble Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Hon’ble Education and Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath were present taking oath ceremony.
