Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport Agartala – Due To Ongoing Flight Disruptions.

Agartala, Tripura, 10th of December, 2025 : Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport Agartala has been playing a proactive role in monitoring the ongoing situation involving disruptions to Indigo flight operations from 29th November to 9th December 2025. During this period, a total of 39 Indigo flights were cancelled. While this has caused inconvenience to passengers, airport teams have been working continuously to support all affected travellers.

To cope up with the situation, AAI Agartala team has arranged additional seating capacity both inside and outside the Terminal building. Enhanced sanitation measures were implemented, with extra care taken to ensure proper cleaning of toilets. Drinking water facility along with snacks and beverages were arranged for the passengers. Food and beverage outlets were instructed to remain open until the last flight, maintain essential supplies, and ensure prices remained unchanged.

As per the information received from Indigo Airlines, Baggage delivery for all impacted flights has been completed and refunds for the cancelled flights have been processed up to 9th December 2025.

On Time Performance (OTP) of Indigo airlines was affected during this period. However, Indigo is maintaining 100% OTP since 7th December 2025 at MBB Airport Agartala.

On 10 December, Indigo is operating an additional flight to Delhi to help accommodate affected passengers. All other airlines at MBB Airport are operating normally.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) teams at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport Agartala continue to coordinate with all stakeholders to stabilise operations and ensure smooth passenger movement. The airport remains committed to providing necessary support and maintaining passenger convenience during this period.
