Aiming to create better income source amidst the poor indigenous people in remote areas under Ampi forest range mega areca nut scheme implementation has been initiated. Under the DCPN project healthy saplings have been managed to create Areca nut garden in 15 VCs under Ampinagar RD block.
As per the report of Abdul Basik of Chechua beat total 30 beneficiaries will be provided areca nut scheme amenity in South Songang JFMC in this financial year 2023-24 in the next month and as well as like this scheme amenity will be provided in other 14 VCs under Ampinagar RD block. He said that each beneficiary will gain 800 saplings for implementation in half hectare land. As per the local report, Areca nut project is most profitable project where beneficiaries avail a large amount of crop income in every year in its harvesting period. Under the guidance and supervision of the forest departmental officials beneficiaries are promoting are project and becoming selfhelp in their family economic management.
