Mega Blood Donation Camp Organized By Rotary Club Of Agartala City.

Agartala, Tripura, 27th of October, 2024 : With the initiative of Rotary Club of Agartala City has been conducted Mega Blood Donation Camp at Anondomoyee Ashram, Agartala, Tripura on Sunday (27th October, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp by lighting the lamp.

Addressing the Blood Donation Camp Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, there is no substitute for blood. People face various problems when there is deficiency of blood. So everyone should come forward to donate blood. But care should be taken to maintain a balance between blood demand and supply. The Chief Minister also said that the State Blood Transfusion Board is constantly monitoring the matter. He said that 1 percent blood of the population of the state should be stored in the blood bank. So everyone should come forward to donate blood. There are 14 blood banks in the State. Out of these 12 are at Government and 2 at private levels. The present Government of the State is constantly trying to improve the health system. The Chief Minister appreciated the social programs of the Rotary Club. Chief Minister visited blood donation camp and encouraged blood donors.

President of Agartala Rotary Club Nihar Ranjan Das delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. President of Anondomoyee Ashram Trust also spoke on the occasion. Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder and many other dignitaries were present in the event. Secretary of Agartala Rotary Club Ashish Sen has concluded the ceremony with vote of thanks.
