Agartala, Tripura, 4th of October 2024 : On 4th October at about 08:30 hours in area of BOP Kalsimura, West Tripura District, a scuffle took place between BSF HC and miscreants who were trying to smuggle contraband. When the BSF Head constable tried to stop them, the miscreants assaulted him with dah and bamboo and tried to snatch his personal weapon. In order to save himself, and the weapon, BSF Head constable fired one round from his rifle after which the miscreants fled away from the spot. The BSF personnel has been injured on his head and at present admitted at Boxanagar CHC for Treatment . FIR is being lodged against the miscreants.
