Agartala, Tripura, 27th of September, 2024 : In a landmark step towards strengthening education, research, and promoting sustainable practices in Agricultural and allied sciences, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, and Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT) at the College of Fisheries, Tripura, during the Annual Zonal Meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) of Zone VII.

The prestigious event witnessed the gracious presence of Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu, alongside a distinguished panel of academic leaders, policy makers, industry representatives, media, and press. Under the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Chancellor of TIUT Shri Satyam Roychowdhury, TIUT has been steadfastly building collaborations with institutes of eminence across India and abroad, having recently signed agreements with top universities in Vietnam. The MoU signing with CAU (I) marks a significant step in that direction.
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha represented TIUT during the signing ceremony and the agreement was formalized in the esteemed presence of Dr. Anupam Mishra, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of CAU, Imphal, and Dr. U.S. Gautam, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension), ICAR, New Delhi. Dr. A.K. Mohanty, Director of ICAR-ATARI, Zone-VII, was also present, underscoring the critical collaboration aimed at enhancing research, extension services, and technology dissemination in the region.
Later in the day, the campus of Techno India University, Tripura, had the honour of hosting Dr. M.M. Adhikary, Former Vice-Chancellor of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, and Dr. Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of CAU, Imphal. They engaged in insightful discussions with the faculty and students, exploring avenues for future collaborations and the exchange of innovative ideas in the realm of agriculture and allied sciences.
