Dharmanagar, Tripura, 29th of January, 2026 : An unidentified man was found lying unconscious under mysterious circumstances in a paddy field at Sonapur Ward No. 1 under Dharmanagar subdivision of North Tripura district on Wednesday (28th January, 2026) morning. The incident has triggered a sense of panic and curiosity among local residents.
According to local sources, at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, several residents of Sonapur Ward No. 1 noticed a man lying unconscious in the middle of a paddy field. They immediately informed the Kadamtala Police Station and the Fire Service.
Acting on the information, a team from the Kadamtala Fire Service promptly reached the spot and conducted a rescue operation. The unconscious man was rescued and rushed to the Kadamtala Community Health Centre, where the on-duty doctors provided him with primary medical treatment. However, till the time of filing this report, the identity of the man could not be ascertained. Detailed information regarding his physical condition was also not available.
Meanwhile, the Kadamtala police have initiated an investigation into the incident. Efforts are underway to establish the identity of the unconscious man and to determine how he ended up in the paddy field. Police are questioning local residents and collecting necessary information related to the case. Whether there is any mystery or foul play involved behind the incident will become clear only after the completion of the investigation, police sources said.
