Khowai, Tripura, 29th of December, 2025 : Nine days long Hori OM Utsav started at Ayachak Ashram, Khowai. Utsav will start from 29th December 2025 at the Kalibari premises, Subhash Park, Khowai, Tripura. Utsav will continue till Nine days.
The Bengali month of Poush is the birth month of Shri Shri Swami Swarupananda Paramhansa Dev, also known as Akhandeshwar Babamani, as well as of his successor Jagat Janani Kalyanmayi Shri Shri Mamani, also known as Sanghita Devi.
This Bengali month in view, the Madhya Khowai Regional Akhand Organization has organized various social and other programs for the next nine days. These programs were inaugurated today, Monday (29th December, 2025), at 5:45 pm at the Ayachak Ashram, Subhash Park Kalibari premises, Khowai.
On this occasion, the nine-day-long program was inaugurated this Monday evening through a formal ceremony. In the evening, traditional Akhand attire present at the ashram first marked the auspicious beginning of the nine-day-long social and programs with ululation and the blowing of conch shells. Thereafter, Bimal Modak, Vice President of the Akhand Organization, inaugurated the nine-day-long program by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Interacted with media the Secretary of the Madhya Khowai Regional Akhand Organization, Tanmay Datta, explained the entire program in detail. Thereafter, all those present participated in the worship. The most noteworthy aspect was that the brothers and sisters present were dressed in traditional attire.
