Agartala, Tripura, 20th of August 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Wednesday (20th August, 2025) about 3pm. According to the sources, along with the RPF, arrested one man drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and seized a total of 7.420 Kg dry cannabis worth ₹ 1.5 lakh. They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.
According to sources, GRP & RPF Of Agartala, at about 3 PM one person namely Subash Kumar (32), S/O- Lt. Guru Prasad Das of Jallu Das Tola, PS- Rangrachawk, Bhagalpur, Bihar has been arrested from Agartala Railway station with 7.420 Kg contraband cannabis (Ganja). The value of this Ganja in black market is about Rs-1.5 Lakh. He is carrying those Ganja to Bihar. specific case under NDPS Act is being registered at Agartala GRPS
