One Accused Arrested In Mangal Khali Murder Case; Search Intensifies For Four Others.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 27th of March 2026 : In connection with the sensational murder that took place in Mangal Khali village under Dharmanagar subdivision, the police of Dharmanagar Police Station have finally swung into action. Acting on a tip-off, police detained one of the five accused from the Ragna area under Dharmanagar Police Station at around 10:30 PM on Friday.

The case has been registered as Case No. 2026 DMN 017 under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, with sections U/S 351(3), 126(2), 109(1), 118(2), 3, and 5. The arrested accused has been identified as Jahar Uddin alias Sab Uddin (42), a resident of Ward No. 2 of Mangal Khali Gram Panchayat.According to police sources, four other accused involved in the incident are currently absconding. Search operations are underway at multiple locations to apprehend them. Officer- in-Charge of Dharmanagar Police Station, Meena Debbarma, stated that the remaining accused will be arrested soon. She also appealed to the victim’s family and local residents to maintain peace and order.Although tension still prevails in the area, police presence has been intensified and the administration remains alert to keep the situation under control.
