Agartala, Tripura, 26th of February, 2026 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that working for the people is one of the government’s objectives, and the current government of the state is working for the development of people from all sections.
He stated that people want the Bharatiya Janata Party in terms of work and development.
Dr Saha also mentioned that by 2030, India’s economy will reach the third position in the world.
Dr. Saha said this while inaugurating the Viksit Bharat Viksit Tripura at Children’s Park in Agartala today.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Saha said that in 2047, our country will complete 100 years of independence.
“In that direction, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set the target of Viksit Bharat 2047, which means India has to become a developed country by that time. Now, everyone is working together across India to implement this goal. People have confidence and trust in the Prime Minister’s vision. Our state is also an important part of a Developed India. That is why we have reached the fifth place among the 28 states of the country in creating the roadmap for Developed Tripura. As usual, our work has also started,” he said.
The Chief Minister added that if the country is strong in terms of defense, it will also be easier to work.
“India has never attacked anyone before; that is history. A huge allocation has been made to the defense sector in this year’s budget. Only if we can work in peace will it be possible to build a developed India. Therefore, we have to be strong, develop infrastructure, improve the socio-economic conditions of all people, and create a Lakhpati Didi. All these will be possible only if we all work together. The dream that the Prime Minister has shown us will be realized,” he said.
The Chief Minister emphasized that people want Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party in terms of work and development.
“The Prime Minister is gradually taking the country forward. Today, the State Innovation Mission was launched in Tripura for the first time in the country. For this, the Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog has come to Tripura. Basically, the mission has started its journey with the aim of promoting innovative thinking. The government will provide all possible support for this,” he said.
In his speech, Chief Minister Dr. Saha also mentioned that this government is working to maintain the cultural heritage of every community.
“The government is working with special emphasis on the development of the tourism industry. In this regard, religious tourism has also been prioritized. The law and order situation in Tripura is now quite good. Our main goal is to work for the people,” he added.
Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there Hon’ble Rajya Sabha member Rajib Bhattacharjee, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder and many other dignitaries were present at the event.
