Dharmanagar, Tripura, 5th of March, 2026 : A press conference was held in Dharmanagar on Thursday evening ahead of the historic Youth Shankhanad Rally called by the BJP North Tripura District Youth Morcha, which is scheduled to take place on Friday at the BBI ground in Dharmanagar. The press conference began around 7 PM at the BBI School ground, where several district and Youth Morcha leaders of the party were present.
During the press conference, the North District Youth Morcha leaders informed that the large youth gathering, scheduled for 2 PM on Friday, will be attended by the Chief Minister of the state, Dr. Manik Saha. The President of the BJP Tripura unit and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee will also be present, along with state minister Tinku Roy and MLA of the Tripura Legislative Assembly as well as BJP Youth Morcha State President Sushanta Deb.Apart from them, the rally will also be attended by Panisagar MLA Binay Bhushan Das, Bagbassa MLA Yadav Lal Nath, North District BJP President Kajal Das, State OBC Morcha President Molina Debnath and several other district leaders of the party.The Youth Morcha leaders told journalists that there is tremendous enthusiasm and excitement among the youth of North Tripura district regarding the rally. They expressed hope that a large number of young men and women from different parts of the district will participate in the event.
Among those present at the press conference were BJP District President Kajal Das, Joyjit Sharma, Janmajit Kanu, Siddhartha Chakraborty, Kishan Chakraborty, Biswarik Bhattacharjee and other leaders.On the occasion, youth leader Joyjit Sharma appealed to the general public, especially the youth, through the press conference to attend Friday’s historic public meeting. He said that the rally aims to organize the youth and make them more aware of the developmental activities taking place in the state. He also mentioned that with the Dharmanagar Assembly by-election approaching, the historic youth rally is expected to have a significant impact on the upcoming election.
Janmajit Kanu is serving as the convenor of this large youth rally. The Youth Morcha also stated that extensive preparations have already been undertaken across the district to ensure the success of the event, and most of the arrangements have been completed.
There is widespread enthusiasm among Youth Morcha members across Dharmanagar town and the entire North District surrounding Friday’s Youth Shankhanad Rally.
