Agartala, Tripura, 12th of March, 2026 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ram Pada Jamatia‘s name proposed as the new Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly at the Pre-Assembly meeting at Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s official residence on Thursday (12th March, 2026) evening.
Ram Pada Jamatia earlier served as a leader of the Jamatia Hoda, the traditional body of the Jamatia community.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Sah, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ram Prasad Paul, Hon’ble Chief Whip Tripura Legislative Assembly, Kalyani Roy, Tipra Motha Party, Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura and other legislators extended their greetings to him.
