Sonamura, Tripura, 15th of January, 2026 : On the basis of secret information at Anandapur Border area from house complex of One Mafiz Miah, Sonamura Police in joint operations with 81 BN BSF recovered Indian Cash currency Rs-9,83,800/- on Thursday (15th January, 2026).
According to report, on the basis of secret information at Anandapur Border area from house complex of One Mafiz Miah, recovered Indian Cash currency Rs-9,83,800/-, a as unclaimed.
After that seized it after observing all legal formalities as unclaimed. And Sonamura police station has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these rupees, whether this currency connected with criminal or smuggling activities.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station gave details about this today. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
