Sonamura, Tripura, 10th of September, 2025 : On specific information of the Sonamura Police Station secret operation was launched in at Sonamura on Tuesday (9th September, 2025). Sonamura Police, arrested one man and seized a total of 12.96 grams heroin.
According to sources, Sonamura Police Station arrested 1 drug peddler and seized a total of 12.96 grams of heroin which was in a soap case from his house. Along with this seized, his passport, mobile phone, a total of Rs. 11,260 of this heroin drug business, his motorcycle with the number – TR-08E-5019, which he used to bring heroin drugs in this Sonamura area.
Interacted with the media, Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that, a case was registered against him in Sonamura police station under the NDPS section. And Sonamura police station has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal contrabands. Many more people from that area may be arrested in this case.
