Dharmanagar, Tripura, 4th of March, 2026 : The cultural town of Dharmanagar came alive in the vibrant hues of spring, as the sky and air were filled with the colors of festivity. From children to the elderly, people of all ages and communities joined together on Wednesday to celebrate the festival of colors in a spirit of joy and unity. Various parts of the town witnessed enthusiasm, happiness, and a remarkable display of communal harmony.The traditional Dharmanagar Athletic Club and Noyapara Kalibari jointly organized a grand Spring Festival at the DNV School ground. From early morning, residents began gathering at the venue. Young men and women dressed in colorful kurtas, sarees, and floral garlands added to the festive charm, while teenagers and senior citizens also took part wholeheartedly. As rhythmic dance performances continued, clouds of colored powder filled the air, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.

A club member present at the event remarked that spring is not just a season, but a celebration of hearts coming together. “By applying colors to one another, we set aside all differences and celebrate unity. Dharmanagar has always been a city rich in cultural spirit. We hope the younger generation preserves this tradition and spreads the message of harmony,” he said.Apart from the celebration at the DNV School ground, neighborhoods across the town also marked the occasion with enthusiasm. In some areas, youths joyfully played with colored powder, while in others, cultural programs were organized to commemorate the day. The spontaneous participation of people from different backgrounds gave the festival a truly multicultural character, spreading messages of brotherhood and social harmony.To ensure safety and maintain order, police and TSR personnel remained actively deployed throughout the celebrations.
