Amarpur, 25th of December 2023 : With the initiative of ST. James Church members of Sontang no1 village CHRISTMAS celebration programme has been organized with great zeal and devotion. On this auspicious occasion the members of the church were found in pious mode and assembled in the church in new dressed look and took participation in prayer. Several ecclesiastical segments were there in the celebration.
As per the report from the catechist of the congregation Mr. Daniel Kaipeng, a Hindu Ochai (priest) named Sibsokto Kaipeng of the locality has donated 34 thousands rupees to maintain the CHRISTMAS grand feast of this ST. James Catholic Church in Sontang village. Under the able guidance and supervision of the church father Rabi, CSC and catechist Mr. Daniel Kaipeng the whole celebration was joyous and all devotees were found in festive mode.
