State Government Has Taken The Initiative To Reserve Posts For Sportsperson In Government Jobs : Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, ICA Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.

“The State Government has taken the initiative to reserve posts for sportsperson in government jobs”, Addressing a press conference on Friday (28th October, 2022) Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Information & Cultural Affairs, PWD (DWS) Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said. The state cabinet will soon take a decision on this. The Youth Affairs and Sports minister said, the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the Central and State Governments is working sincerely for the development of various infrastructures in the sports field.

In the press conference, the sports minister also said that 20 crore rupees have been given to the sports department from the special assistance of the State Government for the construction of football synthetic turf at four places in the state. They are – Umakanta Football  Synthetic Turf, Sachindra Nagar H.S. School ground Football Synthetic Turf at Jirania, Football Synthetic Turf at Tulakuna in Mohanpur, Football Synthetic Turf at Belonia. In the press conference, the Youth Affairs & Sports, ICA Minister said that according to the decision of the state cabinet meeting, the process of recruiting 100 junior physical educators is going on.
