Ampi, Tripura, 3rd of October 2025 : The 18th State Level Anthar Buthar Festival 2025 of the Molsom tribe will commence on 22nd of October here in Makhucherra village under Killa block, Udaipur in Gomati Tripura this year. Through a crucial press meet the MYA president Ramani Kumar Molsom and MYA general secretary Rambabu Molsom have jointly expressed that the MYA (Molsom Youth Association) has called all the cluster leaders of the state in the crucial meeting and taken ultimate determination to celebrate this 2 day long festival in Makhucherra village and the decision has been accepted unanimously. The MYA authority has convened all people from all communities to attend this food festival to share the happiness of the programme and make the event successful.
As per the report, Anthar means newly collected vegetables and Buthar means newly collected food grains. The Molsom tribe is celebrating this Anthar Buthar Festival just after the new harvesting collection from their jhum to express gratitude to God for His immense grace over them. Anthar Buthar Festival is the most significant celebration for the Molsom tribe through which a grand showcase of their heritage, cultural spectrum, traditional food, costumes, religious faith and lifestyle constitute for the programme spectators.
