State Level Kaipeng Kumvei Festival 2026 Organized.

Amarpur, Tripura, 16th of February 2026 : With the initiative of Tripura Kaipeng Society 98th State Level Kaipeng Kumvei Festival 2026 has been conducted here in Dhanlekha village under Ampi Nagar block in Gomati Tripura. On this 2 day long (15th to 16th of February 2026) auspicious occasion a large number of Kaipeng people from all over the state have assembled here in the event and took active participation in the programme. In presence of many distinguished dignitaries TMP supremo Pradyut Kishore Debbarman has inaugurated the event. Under the supervision of the Kaipeng Rai Dharmaraj Kaipeng the programme venue was decorated nicely. Many shops and stalls have accelerated the attraction of the massive gathering. Fascinating Kaipeng traditional cultural songs and dances have enhanced the beauty of the event. Aiming the theme, ‘Celebrating the preservation & promotion the rich socio cultural heritage of the Kaipeng tribe’ the event has highlighted over the unique tradition and cultural assets of the tribe. Addressing the programme participants Bubagra has said, “Kaipeng people are our own Tiprasa people. They have unique language, costumes, traditional culture and heritage which is their authentic identity all over the world. Our TTAADC administration is firmely determined to protect and promote this identical heritage property of the indigenous communities which is most valuable for the tribe or community.”

Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Kamal Kalai, EM, TTAADC, Sadagar Kalai, Ampi 23 constituency MDC, Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, Ampi BAC chairman, Rampada Jamatia, MLA, Krishna Kaipeng, Kaipeng Kamchikao, a large number of Kaipeng social leaders from all over the state and many others remained present in the programme.
