Directed by Ankit Kadam, produced by Sure Real Pictures and Kanishk Kadam, and co-produced by Approach Entertainment and Sonu Tyagi, Liberation features Mahika Sharma as Dorothy, a resilient and street-smart character whose raw survival instincts and emotional depth intersect powerfully with the protagonist’s dark journey.
Mahika Sharma, a versatile performer with a strong foundation in theatre, classical dance, and screen acting, brings layered authenticity to Dorothy — a street worker fighting for survival in a harsh world, whose encounter with the tormented lead character becomes a turning point in the story of vengeance, redemption, and ultimate liberation.
Known for her breakout roles across OTT, films, and commercials, Mahika has already impressed audiences with performances in Breathe: Into the Shadows Season 2 (Amazon Prime Video), We Need To Talk (Tinder short film), Swaraj (Contiloe Productions), Farrey (Salman Khan Productions), Costao (with Nawazuddin Siddiqui), and the horror-comedy Manushya (premiered at IFFI Goa 2025, now streaming on Waves OTT). A trained Kathak dancer, composer, lyricist, singer, and rapper, Mahika continues to expand her creative footprint with upcoming music singles and the theatrical film The Great Escape Farrar alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Her casting in Liberation — an English-language global thriller with Hindi and multi-language releases — highlights the film’s commitment to fresh, powerful voices that resonate with today’s youth. Dorothy’s character allows Mahika to showcase her range in intense, character-driven storytelling, marking a significant milestone in her rising career.
