The Action Taken Report Of Mou Between AIIMS, New Delhi & Government Of Tripura Reviewed By The  Chief Minister Dr  Manik Saha With Director Of AIIMS, New Delhi.

Agartala, Tripura, 30th of January, 2026 : In connection with MoU between AIIMS, New Delhi & Government of Tripura the action taken report was reviewed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha with Director of AIIMS, New Delhi Prof. (Dr.) M. Srinivas and other high officials on January 28, 2026 through video conference in the war room of the Chief Minister.

The Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura, hereby inform that the Action Taken Report (ATR) has been presented on  January 28, 2026 in pursuance of the MoU signed on 17 October 2025 between AIIMS, New Delhi and the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura.

In connection with leadership and Governance it is stated that Key administrative reforms including establishment of a Health University, creation of a unified workforce, enhancement of financial powers, and IT-enabled systems are under process and partly implemented. In connection with human Resources and Recruitment revealed that recruitment is being carried out as per existing government norms through DHS and TPSC. Faculty development and capacity-building initiatives, including training at AIIMS, have been initiated.

In connection with Medical Education and Academic Strengthening it is apprised that Steps have been taken towards introduction of new departments, skill development courses, revision of service rules, and academic exposure through AIIMS to enhance the quality of medical education.

In connection with Hospital Services and Infrastructure Development it is stated that efforts are underway to strengthen emergency services, expand ICU facilities, operationalize OTs, procure high-end equipment through PPP mode, and streamline the medical supply chain.

In connection with Patient Feedback and Digital Initiatives it is revealed that while the ‘Mera Hospital’ application is in place, coordination has been initiated with AIIMS for adoption of the ‘Santusht’ App to further strengthen patient feedback and service quality. In this discussion alongwith the Chief Minister,  Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, Shri Kiran Gitte, IAS, Mission Director & Additional Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department Saju Vaheed, IAS, Director of Health Services Dr. Debasri Debbarma, In-Charge, Director of Medical Education Prof. (Dr.) H.P. Sharma, Principal, Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Majumder,  Medical Superintendent, AGMC & GBP Hospital Dr. Bidhan Goswami and Head of the Department of Department of Paediatrics of AIIMS, New Delhi Professor (Dr.)Ramesh Agarwal were also present.

The Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura, reiterates its commitment to continuous improvement of healthcare delivery and medical education in the State with active support from AIIMS, New Delhi.
