
Agartala, Tripura, 26th of March 2026 : National Cadet Corps-it just not a name, it’s a journey, dedication to serve the nation. Smt. Gouri Paul presently working as a First Officer in NCC and Post Graduate Teacher in Resham Bagan H.S School. Shestarted her journey in NCC from School life. Her father was also serving the nation as an ARMY.So she had a special attraction towards Army uniform from her young age. Inspired by her father, she joined NCC and completed A certificate course in school and B and C certificate course during her study in college.
During her service at Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir, she took the charge of NCC as a Care Taker Officer. Then she completed the PRCN course from Officer Training Academy,Gwalior under Indian Army in 2012 and started her journey as anAssociate NCC Officer in the Rank of Third Officer. A part from participating in various state and national level camps at different times finally she selected and attended in the prestigious Republic Day Camp held in New Delhi in the year 2020 on Behalf of the NORTH ESTERN REGION (NER) DIRECTORATE and that year NER directorate for thefirst time won the RDC camp Championtitle and 3rd Officer GOURI PAUL was awarded the DG Commendation badge for her special contribution and extraordinary performance in this camp.
She also felicitated by Honorable Governor of ASSAM and Honorable Governor of TRIPURA for achieving RDC camp Champion title by NER. She was also awarded The CHIEF MINISTER COMMANDATION MEDAL AND CERTIFICATE for her contribution to NCC in 2022.She undergone NCC Refresher Course-I at OTA Gwalior and after successful completion. she was promoted to 2nd officer in 2023 .She has under gone again for Refresher Course-II and promoted to 1st officer after successful completion in the year 2025 which was officially awarded through a rank Ceremony on 19th March 2026 byCol R.Rajashekhar,Commanding Officer of 13 Tripura Bn NCC. She also awarded Best Female NCC Officer ofTripura for the year 2024-25.
According to her NCC is more than just Drill and Weapon Training. To her, it is a platform for building character, health and social awareness. A no of NCC Cadetsof Tripura utilized their NCC training during their job interview and now serving in different unit of IndianArmy, ParaMilitary, TSR and Tripura Police.She is thankful to the Tripura Education Department for providing her the opportunity to serve NCC in addition to day-to-day activities of School. She trulybelieves “Unity and Discipline”the moto of NCC.
