Sabroom, Tripura, 31st of August, 2025 : The magic of science has once again of a young genius. Rohit Debnath, a student of Harina HS School in South Tripura, has created an innovative science model that can solve major problems in patient care in hospitals. It is often seen during the treatment of patients in hospitals that when the saline runs out, blood returns due to vacuum in the pipe. This incident is dangerous for the health of the patient. But due to staff shortage, nurses or medical staff are often not present immediately. Inspired by this problem, Rohit has created an automatic saline alarm model. The device he invented will automatically sound an alarm as soon as the saline runs out and simultaneously stop the flow of blood in the pipe. As a result, the patient’s life will be safe and the pressure of the hospital staff will also be reduced to a great extent.

Rohit said that his model recently won first place in the science exhibition held at Techno College. His family and school teachers are proud of this achievement. The model was displayed at Sabroom Sub-divisional Hospital on Friday (29th August, 2025). Nripendra Reang, the medical officer of the Sub-division, who was present at the event, said that they consider this innovation to be very significant. Initially, a plan has been made to collect five models and test them.

If successful, this technology will be used on a larger scale in the coming days. Dr. Soumik Hazra and hospital nurses were present at the model exhibition. Rohit’s initiative not only showcased his interest in science, but also proved that solutions to society’s problems can come from the thinking of young scientists. This is undoubtedly an inspiring event for the people of Sabroom.
