Sabroom, Tripura, 12th February, 2025 : The world’s first Bengali cyclist, Bapi Debnath, started his journey from Netaji Chowmuhani to Paris in Sabroom town, the end of the 8 Sabroom-Agartala National Highway, today (12th February, 2025).
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Sabroom Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Shibajyoti Dutta, Sabroom Sub-Divisional Police Officer Nityananda Sarkar, Sabroom Nagar Panchayat Vice Chairman Dipak Das, writer Ashokananda Roy Bardhan, and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
Speaking to the media person cyclist, Bapi Debnath said A message to build a drug-free Tripura, the journey began with a call to include psychology in the syllabus at the primary level and to ensure world peace. Earlier, he was accorded a special reception at Sabroom police station.
