Ampi, Tripura, 29th of November 2024 : Ampinagar TMP block has organized protest rally against the initiative of Tripura state government to construct 5 star hotel destroying Ujjayanta palace. The indigenous people have raised allegation over this initiative which is destructive for the historical heritage of the state. To demolish the palace is not acceptable for the indigenous communities and if the government does not change the decision then TMP will go for further strong step ahead. The TMP activists have marched on Teliamura-Amarpur road in Ampi Nagar and raised voice to protect heretical sign of the state.
Stating over the issue MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has said, “Monarchy heritage is most important for our identification. To destroy these valuable heritage of Tripura monarchy administration is not acceptable. All these royal constructions remind us our passed credit and it is our right to preserve them for our next generation.”
Amidst the leaders there were Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia, Ampi 23 constituency MDC Sadagar Kalai, Ampi TMP block president Sanjay Jamatia, Ampi Ex. sub zonal chairman Deb Sadhan Jamatia and many others remained present in the programme.
